Doha Startups Chart 2026 Product Plans via Two Major Funding Events
Local founders prepare roadmaps for health, finance and cybersecurity tools ahead of September and November showcases.
How we reported this
Doha’s startup scene enters a focused stretch of product development as three major events and one dedicated investment program set deadlines through the end of 2026.
The city’s ecosystem, ranked first in Qatar and 424th worldwide, lists 86 active companies including Snoonu, SkipCash and EMMA Systems, Inc. These firms now align development cycles with the Startup Grind Doha All-Star Pitch Battle on 15 September 2026 and the Web Summit Qatar 2026 spotlight on 54 Qatar Science & Technology Park incubates plus 20 Qatar Foundation alumni ventures.
Events Set Product Timelines
Startup Grind Doha requires registration by 29 August for the September pitch battle, giving founders a fixed window to finish prototypes in health, finance and cybersecurity. Web Summit Qatar 2026 will place the same 74 ventures on stage at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, where investors can review completed roadmaps rather than early concepts. The AI for Good Qatar Challenge, run by The Business Year and Msheireb Properties on 3 November 2025, already tested GCC teams on UN SDG applications and produced a template for the 2026 edition.
Funding Tracks Support Scale-Up
The Startup Qatar Investment Program supplies up to US $1.1 million under the START track for new launches and up to US $5.5 million under the GROW track for companies expanding from Doha bases. Both tracks require operational presence in the city, linking capital directly to the same product milestones displayed at the September and November events. Founders who meet the August registration deadline for the pitch battle can immediately apply the resulting feedback to their GROW submissions.
Next steps are concrete. Teams must file registration for the All-Star Pitch Battle by 29 August, prepare demo materials for the 54 QSTP and 20 alumni slots at Web Summit Qatar 2026, and track the November 2025 AI for Good results as a benchmark for the following year’s submissions. The two funding tracks remain open for any Doha-registered company that completes these steps.
